(NEW) It has become common for people to refer to well-made guitars as "lightly built" or "feather light" but the WL-K from Waterloo takes the concept to the absolute pinnacle! This L-00 sized guitar is disarmingly light, you need to hold it tight lest it float away on you!
In all seriousness, at just 2.9 lbs (you read that right!) this thing is active, responsive, and full of dry and honest tone. It's easy to see why singer-songwriters like Jeff Tweedy have multiples of this model, there's a lot of inspiration in this little box.
Short scale with 1 3/4" nut with 2 3/8" string spacing at the saddle. Select (Sitka) spruce top, with mahogany back, sides and neck. Beautiful shade-top sunburst finish. The neck profile is a comfortable modified low oval. The fingerboard is rosewood and the bridge is ebony. Ivoroid top binding, no back binding. Stew Mac Golden Age tuners.
Due to the extremely light nature of the build, Waterloo recommends no thicker than 11 gauge (custom light) strings. Includes TKL hard case.
