Troublesome Creek DP-0 Ditsy Parlor, Adirondack Spruce, Walnut - NEW

(NEW) Just arrived from our great friends at Troublesome Creek, their latest offering: a Ditson-style parlor guitar that is not only a lot of fun, but also represents a lot of value and serves a noble cause.

Troublesome Creek was founded to train people in recovery from addiction in woodworking and luthiery practices, helping them reclaim their lives.  It's a non-profit company, one of the only such guitar shops in the world.  We love what they do and why they do it, but it shouldn't be glossed over that the instruments themselves are great!

The DP-0 has the stretched out curves of turn of the century Ditson-style instruments, with a waist that isn't as narrow as some more common parlor styles.  It's 12" across the lower bout, 3 1/4" deep at the heel block and just 3 3/4" deep at the tail block.  Adirondack spruce top with super-tight grain and a lovely pale sunburst.  The back, sides and neck are straight-grained black walnut.  Other than the burst, it has a very plain aesthetic with thin ivoroid binding on the top only and a simple 1-ring rosette.  The fingerboard, bridge and pins are ebony.  1 11/16" nut width, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, 24 7/8" scale length.  The neck has a modern low oval profile.  Chrome Golden Age tuners with white buttons.  Includes nice hard case.

This guitar has a pleasing sound with great note separation.  The longer you play it the better you'll feel!
