(NEW) Here is another exciting instrument from our friends at Troublesome Creek, a not-for-profit woodshop and training facility that employs people who are in recovery from addiction. It's a very cool story and they concentrate on sustainable regional hardwoods for all of their instruments, so sometimes we get some really fun combinations like the mix of Adirondack spruce and spalted maple on this Copperhead model. It's a head-turner!
1 1/8" nut width, 1 5/8" string spacing at the saddle. Ebony fingerboard and fixed bridge, walnut neck. Finished in full gloss. Tuners are gold Klusons. Includes original hard case.
The Troublesome Creek mandolins aren't true flat top instruments, they have a subtle arch imparted by the bracing, giving them a more nuanced sound... it transcends a mere folk instrument. We've always really enjoyed the tone on these!
