1998 Stiver F Model, Florentine Mandolin, Adirondack Spruce, Maple, Armrest - SOLD
ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!
(USED) From our friend and neighbor, the legendary Louis Stiver, comes this classic florentine mandolin, completed in September 1998. Stiver is famous for getting the "Loar" warmth and bark, and it's hard to find a better bluegrass mandolin... these babies walk the walk and talk the talk.
This instrument has a few bruises, sure. Little pucks and dings all over the instrument, and a decent gouge in the top just below the extension... there are some markings in the lacquer where the bridge has been scooted around. Some light fret wear and some lacquer checking. Structurally, she's doing fine! No cracks or separations.
Lovely faded sunburst finish, fully bound in ivoroid. 1 1/8" bone nut. Adirondack spruce top, flamed maple back and sides. Allen tailpiece and ebony armrest. Strong projection and high-clarity sound. Includes TKL hard case.
