Northfield NFB-F5E Big Mon, Special Engelmann Spruce, One-Piece Figured Maple Back - NEW

(NEW) Here is one of our favorite and bestselling mandolins - the Northfield Big Mon - with a few unique appointments and upgrades.  The Big Mon, as you probably know if you're reading this, is an F5 mandolin that has been scaled up ever-so-slightly from standard F-model dimensions, tuned for a very responsive and rich sound.

This one has special Engelmann spruce on the top, a one-piece figured sugar maple back (very light-catching!) and a special dark cherry-burst finish with an antiqued look. 

The good folks at Northfield used a water stain for a more antique look because they wanted to use gold hardware (as you see in the pictures).

It has standard 1 1/8" nut width.  For appointments, it is fully bound in ivoroid, including the pick guard.  It has the standard "Scroll" inlay on the peghead, but the tuners and tailpiece are gold, very unusual on a Big Mon.  The entire package is as classy as it gets!  Includes Northfileld's wonderful Airloom Recurve case.
