Northfield NFO-EL2 EleOcto Electric Octave Mandolin, Red Spruce, Maple - NEW

(NEW) The word that pops into our mind when we think of Northfield: inspired!  They were inspired to create this all new instrument that combines the vibe of a great vintage electric guitar with an octave mandolin, and the results couldn't be cooler.  Sierra seems to like it!

The EleOcto has a red spruce top/cap on a figured maple body, finished in a dark walnut colored matte varnish.  The scale length is 22" and the nut is 1 13/32" wide, the fingerboard is figured ebony with a compound radius.  The electronics were highly considered and this configuration combines a humbucking Seymour Duncan Apollo 2 bass pickup with a house-made piezo in the neck position, which Northfield calls The Kapsule.  Thanks to the stereo cable and separate volume controls for the two pickups, there are a million ways to dial in cool sounds.  Northfield even includes the Boss EG-7 EQ pedal so that you can get it just right!

They're never going to see you coming when you pop the latches on the included molded hard case.  For mandolin players and adventurous guitarists alike, the EleOcto promises tons of fun and new sounds!
