Northfield Big Mon, Special Engelmann Spruce, Maple Back, Sunburst, Wide Nut - NEW

(NEW) One of the most popular models in our shop from Northfield is their fabled Big Mon.  This F-Style mandolin has slightly increased proportions (5mm wider at its widest point) which results in not only more volume, but a more pronounced throaty midrange and bass response.  Think of it as "F Extra!"

This instrument has a reserve Engelmann spruce top and a flamed maple back.  The fingerboard and bridge are ebony.  For hardware, there are Gotoh tuners and a nickel-plated engraved Gilchrist/Northfield tailpiece.  The pick guard is bound black plastic.  Wider 1 3/16" nut width.  Hybrid varnish finish with vintage sunburst.  Includes the Airloom "Recurve" case.
