Kevin Kopp AJ, Torrefied Adirondack Spruce, Premium '60s Brazilian Rosewood, Calton Case - NEW - SOLD

(NEW) This is the big one, folks!  We asked the great Kevin Kopp to go ahead and build us an AJ, a real "Bone Crusher" with his best Brazilian rosewood, and what he sent us stands tall as one the best flat tops we've ever had the privilege to sell.

This guitar has a warm, rich tone, and no shortage of power.  It loves chords, it loves a flat pick, it even loves bare fingers!  It's an all-around tonal beast.  Torrefied Adirondack spruce and braces give the tone a vintage character, but with modern volume, projection and clarity.  As we mentioned, we asked Kevin to hit us with his best Braz, and this set was cut in the '60s.  Now it has aged to perfection, and we feel very fortunate that Kevin picked it for us.  The fingerboard and bridge are also Brazilian.

The guitar has Kevin's standard "C" neck, a 1 3/4" nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle, and is long scale.  The cosmetics are classic Gibby jumbo, with forward/reverse arrow inlays on the fingerboard and peghead.  Kevin's legendary hand-rubbed sunburst takes on a darker, more subtle appearance on the torrefied top.  Ivoroid body and fingerboard binding, fire stripe pick guard and open-gear Waverly tuners complete the look.

For a guitar this special, we wanted to include a special case, so we're bundling it with a teal Calton flight case with aqua interior.  The best guitar needs the best protection!

...and there you have it!  Kopp guitars always blow our minds and warm our hearts, his work is an absolute gift to the acoustic guitar world.  Big thanks to our friend Dan Marcus for the demo video (
