Kevin Kopp 20th Anniversary K-35 Thin Body, Adirondack Spruce, Maple - NEW

(NEW) Come along to celebrate 20 years of top-notch guitar building by the one and only Kevin Kopp!  Kopp makes easily our favorite interpretations of classic Gibby designs, in many cases taking them to new and wonderful sonic heights.  This here guitar is what we call an "NBD" or "Never Been Done" and we couldn't be happier about how the idea took shape. 

The shape is familiar, Kevin's popular K-35 or slope D, but we've tweaked the recipe by making it a thinner body (4" at the tail vs the normal 4 5/8") which improves playing comfort with almost no alteration to the voice of the instrument.  Torrefied Adirondack top and braces for that broken-in sound, lovely MAPLE back and sides for clarity and punch.  Hard to ignore that hand-rubbed burst, this one has it all over and we asked for a pale leather or boot burst to accentuate the maple.  

The guitar is short scale with a C-shaped neck, .888" thick at the first fret, .933" at the ninth.  The fingerboard is Madagascar rosewood, with 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  Madagascar rosewood bridge with bone pins.  Tuners are nickel Waverly with ivoroid buttons to match the body binding.  At 4lbs 2oz, it's right in the sweet spot for a jumbo!  Includes hard case.
