Friday, May 22nd - We are beyond excited to welcome the great Michael Gulezian to our new shop on the South Side!
Michael is an acclaimed guitarist who first gained notoriety on John Fahey's Takoma records, and has since toured the world with a bewitching mix of fingerstyle 12-string dexterity and dreamy atmospheres. His playing is always vital, never feeling overly New Age or noodly, and his kind spirit comes through in his wonderful playing.
Spencer Elliot plays progressive contemporary fingerstyle guitar, and is beloved for the physicality of his playing. He is a darling of the modern Candy Rat / contemporary fingerstyle scene, and fans of Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour will find a lot to love in Spencer's compositions.
Locals Forest Counties return to AMW to open the night with their dreamy, rambling, sometimes psychadelic folk music! Forest Counties is a project by Eric, head of Pittsburgh's Michi Tapes.
The show - seating is extremely limited, we expect this one to sell out! We are offering pre-sale on 65 tickets and then will revert to standing room only on the day of the show. Doors at 7pm, music starting around 8pm. $20 guarantees a seat, though not any seat in particular! First come, first pick. This show will be BYOB. Please call us at the shop with any questions!
TICKET PURCHASES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, unless the event itself is cancelled.
