Saturday, May 16th - We welcome Bertha & The Belles to play our shop for the first time!
Bertha and the Belles is an acoustic quartet established in late 2021. Based in Pittsburgh, PA, this band features the powerful singing of Pam Hawley, the remarkable fiddling of Alice Backer, the lovely, rootsy vocals of Annie Trimble, AND some of the best duet and trio vocal harmony around. In addition, the powerful rhythm section of Annie’s guitar, Pam’s banjo uke, and “Bertha” — Richard Gordon’s bass — provides a solid backdrop for an exciting mixture of country, swing, spiritual, old -time and other folk music.
Sue Powers and Jeff Berman are Pittsburgh folk royalty, noted songwriters and instrumentalists who have spanned a half dozen genres in their day, from the Irish lilt of Devilish Merry to the world-folk fusion of AppalAsia. On guitar, banjo and dulcimer they present Sue's beautiful songs, often featuring local and regional themes.

The show - seating is extremely limited! We are offering pre-sale on 60 tickets and then will revert to standing room only on the day of the show. Doors at 7pm, music starting around 7:30pm. $20 guarantees a seat, though not any seat in particular! First come, first pick. This show will be BYOB. Please call us at the shop with any questions!
