In-Store Concert, December 5th - The Pitt Bluegrass Ensemble - 1 TICKET
Saturday, December 5th: it's the future of bluegrass with the Pitt Bluegrass Ensemble!
Since its founding in 2023, the University of Pittsburgh Bluegrass Ensemble has explored the canon of American roots music from a multi-generational, multi-cultural perspective. The group has developed a wide-ranging repertoire that includes 19th century fiddle tunes, gospel classics, popular country hits, and genre-bending newgrass compositions. With every performance, these students use their individual talents to create a show larger than the sum of its parts that celebrates Pittsburgh's contributions to the ever-evolving world of bluegrass and Appalachian folk music.
There will be two 40 minute sets with a short intermission in between.
The show - seating is extremely limited! We are offering pre-sale on 65 tickets and then will revert to standing room only on the day of the show. Doors at 7pm, music starting around 8pm. $20 guarantees a seat, though not any seat in particular! First come, first pick. This show will be BYOB. Please call us at the shop with any questions!
