Friday, August 21st - Join us for a night of singer/songwriter goodness with THE PINKERTON RAID!
The Pinkerton Raid’s songwriter Jesse James DeConto crafts “a fine blend of Beatles-esque dreamy folk,” says AMERICANA HIGHWAYS. “(it) simultaneously plumbs the depths of the state of both the world and the human heart.” He’s an ’80s kid, raised on STAR WARS, Tolkien, Kerouac and Laurel Canyon. Jesse has slotted at Mile of Music, AVLFest and Cosmic Songwriter with Carsie Blanton, Tommy Prine and River Whyless. Father to two Zoomers, he writes soft-spoken protest songs with Big Dad Energy, and there is a fair number of songs about trees.
An Army veteran who traded in his rifle for a banjo and guitar, Colin Cutler is a Greensboro, North Carolina-based singer-songwriter, folk musician, poet, and storyteller. Whether solo or with his band, Hot Pepper Jam, he is a wide-ranging performer whose musical roots draw from the breadth of American folk music—from Appalachian oldtime to blues to gospel to country to rock’n’roll—to form what No Depression has described as “one magnificent tapestry of roots music.” The 2022 Winner of the Susquehanna Folk Festival’s Emerging Artists Competition, the last couple years have seen Colin playing across the Southeast, with appearances at Merlefest, Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival, the North Carolina Folk Festival, Antlers and Acorns Songwriters Festival, and the Carolina Bible Camp Bluegrass Festival.
A singer-songwriter, guitarist, banjoist and bassist, Billie Feather originally hails from Johnstown, PA. Raised in the beautiful Pennsylvania mountains and surrounded by a family of avid music lovers, Billie’s love of performing music in all forms was fostered. Saying goodbye to their ancestral home in the Allegheny mountains, Billie’s family relocated during her elementary school years to North Carolina, where she found herself surrounded by the rich musical landscape that flourishes in the Tarheel State - from the old traditional mountain music of the Appalachians to the Piedmont’s rich blues and jazz traditions.
