Friday, April 24th - Join us in welcoming The Honey Dewdrops to our new shop for the first time!

Virginia natives, Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and released their newest album, Here in the Mountains, in August 2024 - a batch of songs written and inspired by the origin story of a close friend. 

Throughout their two-decade partnership, the Dewdrops have highlighted the power and intimacy of two voices and two instruments in both live performances and recordings. Laura and Kagey constantly push the boundaries of their experimental folk sound—blending electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo—while weaving in tight vocal harmonies. They remain committed to deepening their understanding of the world through songwriting and music.

No Depression says of their 2022 album, Light Behind Light, “The Honey Dewdrops have a way of filling their songs with humanity, using their beautiful playing and harmonies to emphasize what connects us all.”

Locals Mirabelle Skipworth and Tucker Muetzel open.  Mirabelle has a lovely new record When The Waters Part, available now.  Her songs explore romantic and religious themes, her beautiful voice carrying them with aplomb.  Tucker is not only an excellent singer and guitar player, he also backs Mirabelle on bass and pedal steel, all while helping us keep the trains on time here at Acoustic Music Works! 

The show - seating is extremely limited!  We are offering pre-sale on 60 tickets and then will revert to standing room only on the day of the show.  Doors at 7pm, music starting around 8:00pm.  $20 guarantees a seat, though not any seat in particular!  First come, first pick.  This show will be BYOB.  Please call us at the shop with any questions!
