(NEW) Certain acoustic shapes and sizes are so beloved, so evergreen that they have been popular for going on 100 years.  When Gibson introduced their Jumbo in the '30s, they created an icon that continues to thrill and inspire.  Leave it to Huss & Dalton to combine tradition with modern manufacturing and craftsmanship to continue the story in style. 

This DS custom has a torrefied / thermo-cured Adirondack spruce top and also Adirondack braces (standard on all H&D guitars.)  It has genuine Honduras mahogany back and sides, which are only lightly stained to reveal the nice variegated grain.  No "shoe polish brown" on this guitar!  Rich sunburst as a nod to the original, and elegant maple binding completes the look.  

As a long scale guitar (25.4") this DS has more in common with the powerful Advanced Jumbo than it does with the more well-mannered J45.  1 3/4" bone nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the tall bone saddle.  Ebony fingerboard with snowflake inlays.  Waverly tuners.  Includes original tweed style hard case.
