(NEW) Huss & Dalton continues to help us explore new tonal arenas, and this is our first D-RH Cocobolo with the "Stage-Worn" finish option, wherein the thermo-cured Sitka top is thinly finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and then purposefully checked to break the surface tension. Guitars with this treatment tend to sound very open and responsive, even when brand new. It's certainly a great compliment to the Cocobolo back and sides, one of our favorite "rosewood" family tone woods. Cocobolo is a feast for the eyes (especially with our beloved sapwood!) but also sounds louder and more tonally complex than Indian rosewood. We do a few guitars every year with this TC Sitka/Coco combo.
Specs include 1 23/32" nut with 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle. Forward-shifted and scalloped Adirondack spruce braces. Ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins. Flamed maple body binding. 4078 Waverly relic tuning machines. Includes TKL tweed-style hard case.
