(NEW) Here is an exceptional sounding 00 from Huss & Dalton, their popular Crossroads series is meant to evoke the lightly built, super-responsive vintage guitars of the '30s. Of course, a team as talented as H&D has taken it to the next level, and this model is definitely no funky little blues box. It has a rich, complex sound that belies its size. It is one of the most dynamic guitars in our shop right now, responding eagerly to even a feather light touch.
The top is thermo-cured or torrefied Sitka spruce, and the back and sides are beautifully figured "rope" mahogany. Highly distinctive! We had them build this one as a 13-fretter, which gives us a nice median between the projection of 14 and the warmth of 12. It really hits the mark.
1 3/4" nut, strong 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle. Short scale, with comfy mod-V neck and satin neck finish. Ebony bound fingerboard with dot inlay, ebony bridge and peghead veneer. Tortoise body binding with rope pattern top purfling. Waverly relic'd tuners.
