(NEW) A pretty fancy OM from Furch's limited Backstage Edition, this guitar features a Sitka spruce top, Bois de Rose back and sides, and no small amount of bling! What does Bois de Rose sound like? Let us tell you all about it! It has the density of some of the popular tropical hardwoods like Cocobolo and Blackwood, but has a slightly drier sound than either of those, with more emphasis on the fundamental. That said, the overtone content is high, and this guitar puts out a complex sound that is excellent for fingerstyle.
Being a Red Series instrument, it's got cosmetic touches galore: full abalone top border and rosette, mahogany binding on the body, neck and peghead, figured ziricote fingerboard with exotic leaf inlay spanning the frets around the octave (there is also an exotic leaf inlay on the peghead).
Long 25 5/8" scale with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle. The neck is a modern low oval profile and measures .843" at the first fret and .925" at the ninth. Includes the innovative CNR-active neck, where action can be adjusted by a tool through the sound hole. Includes molded TKL hard case.
