(NOS, SHOP WORN) Here's something you don't see every day! A flat-top acoustic with not only Indian rosewood back and sides but an Indian rosewood top to boot! It has alluring good looks, for sure, but we were surprised by the rich and satisfying tone. It leans dark, to be sure, but has more lushness than other all-hardwood instruments featuring koa, mahogany, walnut etc. Surprisingly, the weight doesn't exceed that of a spruce-topped version, they seem to have thought of everything! We like the innovative work that Furch is doing nowadays.
1 3/4" nut, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, long 25 5/8" scale length. Tortoise body binding with sharp looking white purfling lines. Ebony fingerboard with ring inlays and bar side markers. Abalone rosette. Cutaway for uppermost fret access. Tuners are Gotoh 510s with ebony buttons. Includes Hiscox hard case.
Something new and different to add to your collection, you probably don't have another guitar that sounds quite like this!
Notes on this instrument: some checking occured in the finish in shipment, centered around the control panel on the bass side and on the lower bout bass side. We've had these finish issues professionally addressed, they are very hard to locate, so we are passing on the savings to you as SHOP WORN. Everything else about the guitar is AS NEW. We have also deliberately over-exposed the photography in this listing, to better show the rosewood grain.
