Fairbanks F-35 Southern, Torrefied Sitka Spruce, Mahogany, Sunburst - NEW

(NEW) Though there are more great options than ever these days, we can now say with confidence that Dale Fairbanks is making our favorite modern interpretations of vintage-style Jumbo guitars.  One of these came through last year and broke our brains, we were sure it might be some kind of "extra special" one, but no, we now have evidence, the results are in, the hype is real!  

This wonderful example features a torrefied Sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck and and expert sunburst under Dale's light relic, checked lacquer.  It is short 24 3/4" scale with a soft V neck, 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  The fingerboard and bridge are Madagascar rosewood, and the inlay and binding scheme are "Southern" style with large parallelograms on the board, quadruple binding on the body and a firestripe celluloid pick guard.  The tuners are relic'd Waverly machines.  It's a floater at 3 lbs, 9oz, we suggest you tie it down so it doesn't end up on your ceiling!
