Dogwood 11" Open-Back Banjo, Walnut Rim, Walnut Neck, Case - NEW - SOLD

(NEW) Dogwood Banjos, built by our good friend Mike Chew, and we're reminded how much love can go into a hand-made instrument.  Dogwood open-backs have a very satisfying mix of rustic aesthetics and fine details for the wood-obsessed. 
 

This walnut 11" model has a nice deep pot, inspired by the work of the great Chuck Lee.  The walnut has a light figuring, and is nicely set off by the canary wood rim cap and fingerboard.  The neck is walnut with a wenge center strip, and the scale length is 25 1/2".  Brass hardware with matching gold tuners with ebony knobs.  Brass hoop tone ring.  

This banjo is loud and deep sounding, with a little bit of a growl to it!  Very pleasing for clawhammer and old time.  Price includes case.
