Collings OM1A HC, Hill Country Series, Adirondack, Mahogany, Sunburst, Satin - NEW

(NEW) It's back to the future with the Collings Hill Country series!  The latest instruments being designed in Austin have some decidedly backward-looking tonal attributes, and indeed the company says that this is as far as they can possibly push their signature tone toward a pre-war vibe.  These are lightly built, dry and responsive, with a warmer midrange than we hear in the standard line or even the Traditional series.  

This OM has an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck and a dark satin sunburst.  1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle, long 25 1/2" scale.  The neck is the new HC carve, not overly chunky in feel and measuring .848" at the first fret and .962" at the ninth.  Appointments include 3-ring rosette, pick guard and heel-capped all hand-poured and matching, individual to the guitar.  Tortoise body binding, logo on back of peghead, Waverly tuners.  Guitar weight is 3lbs, 12oz.  Includes hard case.
