(NEW) Here's a brand-y new OM1 Cutaway, the beloved tool of choice of the late Pete Huttlinger, and this one has a pretty cool serial number: it's Collings #35000, no small achievement (especially considering that there hasn't been a bad one in all that time!)
This guitar has a lot going on, though doesn't carry a lot of extra weight around... comes in at 3 lbs, 15 oz. Silky Sitka spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck, cutaway for upper fret access, built light and sounding NICE. It's short 24 7/8" scale (we hear this as warming up the voice, in the direction of a Martin 000) with 1 11/16" nut, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle and Collings' standard mod-V neck with .836" depth at the 1st fret, .926" at the ninth.
Appointments are all standard "1" series, including 3-ring rosette, tortoise binding, no volute, no back strip. We left the tongue brace out of this one (would have only been half of one, anyway) and this loosens up the upper bout slightly, adding warmth. Includes hard case.
Serial #35000
AMW Price: $6,825 (Online checkout, Collings 2025 MAP price)
