Collings Ladybird Hollow Body Electric, Antiqued Jet Black, Righteous Sound Cathedral Pickups - NEW

(NEW) This bird has our imaginations soaring here at AMW!  A new entry into the Collings electric lineup, this hollow-body has a unique sound and feel that combines Collings' world famous precision with a little bit of attitude and vintage vibe.  It's not everyone that can pull off a super-short scale, flat topped hollow-body, but Collings, as per usual, has NAILED IT.  

While it's not a small guitar (15" across the lower bout) it is lighter in weight than anything else in the Collings lineup.  This one comes in at just under 5lbs 9oz.  The 24 1/8" scale length gives an immediate looseness to the feel, in the best way.  Big bends are easy to handle on this model, to be sure.  The neck is a C shape and this one measures .857" thick at the first fret and .957" at the ninth, 1 11/16" nut width.  The fingerboard is rosewood with dot inlays.  The Righteous Sound Cathedral pickups have a chime-y yet muscular sound.  The finish is a dull antiqued black and the body is bound in leopard-print tortoise binding, with matching details in the pickup covers.  Compensated, floating rosewood bridge and trapeze tailpiece.  The tuners are nickel Klusons.  Davies Radio control knobs add to the retro vibes.
