(NEW) The popular I-35 LC Vintage is aimed at the player who wants a gig and studio-ready semi-hollow with a fast neck and a vintage vibe, with Collings' legendary quality and attention to detail.  Versus the original I-35 LC, the Vintage series has the following features standard: ThroBak humbucking pickups, slimmer '60s neck carve, aged finish and hardware.  Vs the Lollar Imperial pickups found on the standard I-35 LC, we hear the ThroBaks as having a bit more note separation and an ability to run hotter before saturation/breakup.  

This guitar has the aged blonde finish with some distinctive brown streaks in the wood, both front and back.  It is short scale with 1 3/4" nut, bound rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, aged hardware including Gotoh tuners with ivoroid buttons.  The finish aging is subtle and hard to see in photos, but it basically consists of some finish checking on the body and peghead (none on the neck shaft) and a bit of tarnish on the hardware.  It looks great and gives the player an instant level of comfort (the "old shoe" thing) so that they can be at their most musical, vs worrying about dings and scratches.  

This guitar weighs in at 6lbs 13oz and includes original Ameritage hard case.
