Collings D2H, Sitka Spruce, Indian Rosewood, 1 3/4" Nut - NEW - SOLD

SOLD

(NEW) Here it is, folks.  The dreadnought, the guitar that took the world by storm with its huge voice and rumbling bass... a design so ready to do battle that they named it after, well, a battleship!  Bill Collings' very first guitars were rosewood dreadnoughts, and the model has become the cornerstone of the Collings lineup ever since.

Collings built their business on the D2H, and we built our business on selling Collings... so it feels fitting that our newest arrival is a *perfect* D2H in the classic Sitka/EIR combination, with familiar "style 2" appointments including herringbone top trim, ivoroid body binding, and a zipper back strip.  Even though this is a basic model (the only uncharge is the 1 3/4" nut width) it is absolutely perfect in every way, with an unreal looking Sitka top (looks like a single piece!!!  Actually book-matched, as always).  Be careful, though... if this is your first Collings, it likely won't be your last.

Other appointments include ebony bridge, pins and fingerboard.  Mahogany neck with modified "V" shape.  Aforementioned 1 3/4" nut width with 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Waverly tuners.  Includes original TKL hard case.

The guitar that started it all, and starts many a player on a lifetime love affair with Collings guitars!
