Collings D1A, Baked Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany - NEW

(NEW) Fewer things are more dependable than a Collings dreadnought.  It will last you a lifetime, and it will never lose its power or clarity.  Some players prefer a warmer voice without sacrificing the aforementioned power, and for that we've had Bruce Van Wort, the legendary luthier who has voiced over 30,000 Collings guitars, choose this handsome set of torrefied Adirondack spruce.  We're happy to report that his eyes and ears for great tone woods remain as sharp as ever.

The heart and soul of any guitar is the top wood, and Adirondack spruce can take pretty much anything you throw at it.  This guitar has been built even tougher with Adirondack braces.  Mahogany back and sides accentuate the fundamental of the note, and nothing cuts through a jam like a D1A.

The appointments are classic "18" style with traditional 3-ring rosette, black/white/black purfling and tortoise body binding.  Long 25 1/2" scale with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins.  Modified "V" neck profile.  Waverly tuners.  Includes original TKL hard case.
