Collings D1, Sitka Spruce, Mahogany, Adirondack Braces, No Tongue Brace - NEW

(NEW) One of our hacks for squeezing even sweeter tone out of Collings dreads (while still maintaining power) is to stiffen up the overall top structure with Adirondack spruce braces (still scalloped, forward shifted) while also leaving out the tongue brace to slightly loosen the upper bout.  This combo has worked well for us over the years, and has produced some absolutely top-tier dreads, it's kind of a shop staple.  

This one is as great sounding as we could hope!  It has a Sitka spruce top, mahogany back and sides.  The mahogany neck is Collings standard mod "V" profile with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, long 25 1/2" scale length.  Being a "1" style it has simple b/w/b top purfling, 3-ring rosette and tortoise binding.  Waverly tuners, of course.  

A fine, fine dreadnought that does its thing with the best of them!  Includes hard case.
