Collings D1 Custom Q Top, Sitka Spruce, Mahogany, Sunburst - NEW

(NEW) Never missing out on an opportunity for progression, Collings are now offering select Q Tops, at a modest upcharge.  These are super-new and our experience with them is limited, but our understanding is that these tops go through the most rigorous testing of any of their woods, to deliver consistently outstanding results.  This D1 Custom, our first to be delivered with a Q Top, seems to have all of the normal Collings power and sparkle, but also a welcoming middle range and a bit more of a blended voice.  

Sitka Q Top, mahogany back/sides/neck.  Cosmetics include legendary Collings sunburst, rope top purfling, tortoise body binding and 3-ring rosette.  It is long 25 1/2" scale with a 1 11/16" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle.  Compound radius ebony fingerboard with dot inlays, standard mod V neck shape, bone nut and saddle.  Waverly open gear tuners and a hard case complete the package.
