Collings 470 JL, Julian Lage Signature Model, Blonde, Ron Ellis Pickups, Stop Tailpiece - NEW

(NEW) The 470 JL is one of the most popular guitars that Collings has every produced.  Completely unique in their lineup, it features a fully hollow body with trestle block construction. The body and neck are mahogany and the cap is maple.

These guitar feature Ron Ellis Ellisonic pickups with adjustable-height poles.  The combination of the body construction and the highly custom pickups give the guitar a very wide dynamic range, and it is equally happy playing clean, tender lead lines are ripping through overdriven chords.  

The 470 JL is short scale, with a specially designed symmetrical neck profile, a hybrid of C and V shapes.  The Delrin material for the 1 11/16" nut and is our first with a FIXED tailpiece, vs the original Bigsby.  The tune-o-matic bridge has a pinned (not floating) ebony base.  This example has a blonde lacquer finish, with "JL Haircut" peghead and relic'd Waverly tuners with vintage oval buttons.

A guitar as inspiring as Julian himself!  Lage-level chops and creativity NOT included, but a hard case certainly is!
