Collings 001G Traditional, German Spruce, Mahogany, Satin Finish - NEW

(NEW) The 14-fret 00 has become a very popular shape in the last few years, and it's no wonder, they bring almost all of the volume and balance of an OM but in a more compact, arguably more comfortable package.  The Traditional version, like everything in that line, has a lighter build, a thinner lacquer finish, no tongue brace, a smaller maple bridge plate and rolled fingerboard edges for comfort. 

Creamy looking, tight-grained German spruce top, mahogany back, sides and neck.  1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" string spacing and 24.9" scale length on the Collings Traditional modified V neck profile.  This one measures .841" thick at the first fret, 1.035" at the ninth.   The fingerboard and bridge are ebony, the bridge pins are faux tortoise material.  Tuners are lightly antiqued Waverly open-gear tuners.  This one is lightweight at just 3lbs, 12oz.  Includes hard case.
