Bourgeois M5F-SB, F-Style Mandolin, Aged Tone Adirondack Spruce and Maple - NEW

(NEW) Bourgeois has been picking up a loyal fan base for their mandolins over the last few years, and they've now got a traditional sunburst option that players are going to fall in love with!  These instruments have something that most other makers' mandos don't: torrefied "Aged Tone" tone woods for the top, back, sides and neck!  The torrefaction process pulls all of the resins/sugars/volatiles out of the wood at the beginning of manufacturing, resulting in a lighter instrument that not only has a more broken in sound, but is also more resistant to humidity fluctuations.

Aged Tone Adirondack top, Aged maple back/sides/neck.  Handsomely appointed with ivoroid binding on the body, neck and peghead.  Playful flowerpot inlay on an ebony headcap.  1 5/32" bone nut.  Ebony fingerboard with dot inlays.  Golden Age tuners with ivoroid buttons.  Engraved James tailpiece makes string changes a breeze.  Includes violin style hard case.
