(NEW) And now.....for something completely unique!  ;-) If you've been eyeballing the Beard Trailhead series in hopes of owning one of the finest reso phonic instruments being made today, well we can't blame you for that!  But if the more commonly available larger model E size looks a little unwieldy, we have a great new option for you in the model R Trailhead.  Size-wise, this shape falls somewhere between an L-00 and an OM, so the comfort factor is excellent. The body is figured Horse Chestnut which boasts all of the tonal warmth associated with mahogany, and *some* of the sonic characteristics of maple (and we’d be remiss if we didn’t take this opportunity to mention it has all the “kick” associated with horse chestnut) with cosmetics reminiscent of figured maple. Add to that the woody punchiness that we expect from this body size and you've got the perfect reso-phonic combo for fans of smaller instruments.

So, what’cha waitin' for?? 

It has a Square neck , 1 7/8” nut  ebony fretboard and maple slotted diamond inlays.  The hardware is all genuine antiqued Beard parts, and the tuners are Gotoh.  The entire guitar has a smooth satin finish.  This instrument has a pre-installed Fishman Nashville pickup, with is compatible with the Jerry Douglas Aura Imaging pedal (not included.)
