(NEW) By popular demand, Beard has brought back their line of flat top guitars, which they call the Deco Phonic series. These are extremely well made and highly engineered instruments that have simple aesthetics that harken back to depression-era folk guitars.
The Sidecar model, essentially a 00 in size, was definitely the most popular shape in the original offering, finding fans in Larkin Poe, Tony Policastro, Tommy Emmanuel and more. It has a solid Engelmann spruce top, laminated Finnish Birch back and sides and a mahogany neck with comfortable low oval profile. 1 3/4" nut width, 2 1/8" string spacing at the saddle, short 25" scale length. The top and back are bound in ivoroid, and the guitar has a full body two-tone sunburst. Fingerboard and bridge are rosewood, pins are boxwood. The tuners are Gotoh 510s (smooth!) and the instrument includes a TKL hard case.
