(NEW) It's back! A parlor guitar that is without equal in our experience.. the tiny yet might Size 2 from our friend Chuck Baleno! This is a best-seller for us, because to a guitar these little wonders put out WAY more sound than anyone expects them to. It isn't a boxy or compressed sound, not in the least... Baleno's parlor guitars stand up tonally with many boxes with much bigger dimensions. It has to be played to be believed!
This one is classic Chuck: luxurious AAA-grade tone woods, and with the exception of the tuner buttons, no plastic in sight. It has a brightly colored Adirondack spruce top, chocolate-y Indian rosewood back and sides, and curly Koa binding. The rosette also has a curly Koa center ring, and many will fall in love with the understated looks of this guitar.
We are always telling you about the extra value that comes standard on Baleno guitars, and this one continues that story: standard features include stainless steel frets, compensated nut and saddle (extraordinary intonation) and hide glue construction on all tone-related bracing. The mahogany neck has a comfortable modified "V" profile, with 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle. Short 24 1/2" scale. The tuners are Golden Age w/ ivoroid buttons. Chuck's thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish is the best we've ever seen from a one-man shop.
