Baleno 0 12-Fret, Adirondack Spruce, Madagascar Rosewood - NEW

(NEW) We have the wonderful privilege of introducing most of the world to the excellent guitars of Chuck Baleno, easily the most accomplished builder in the Pittsburgh region, not to mention a mentor and a personal hero.  We're kicking off 2026 with some excellent new Baleno builds, and this 12-fret 0 has so much to talk about, it's just excellent in every way.  

Adirondack spruce top (Chuck's favorite to work with) meticulously voiced for warmth and responsiveness.  The back and sides are very handsome Madagascar rosewood.  The appointments are elegant as can be, with curly koa body binding, and abalone rosette with wood details, and diamond/square inlays on the ebony fingerboard.  The neck is a gentle mod V shape with 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  The neck depth measures .851" at the first fret and .905" at the ninth.  The frets are stainless steel and the bone nut and saddle are both compensated, the guitar has uncanny intonation.  Golden Age tuners with ivoroid buttons completes the package.
