(USED) Wow.  Just WOW.  Talk about a guitar that sparkles its way right into your heart!  This 00-42T from Collings is truly a thing of beauty.  Collings' meticulous craftsmanship is fully on display here, it's an instant classic.  Following the markets, we see very few 12-fret Traditionals being produced... but we're sure glad this one found its way to us!

The Traditional models were developed in the mid teens, one of Bill Collings' last major undertakings.  They have a lighter build, no tongue brace, small maple bridge plate, thin nitro finish and rolled fingerboard edges.  The idea was to warm up the tone a bit without losing the trademark clarity and power that we associate with the brand.  This 12-fretter has absolutely everything going for it!  It sounds amazing but has an undeniable visual appeal as well.

Old Growth Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back/sides, mahogany neck with mod V profile.  Short 24.9" scale length with 1 3/4" nut and 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  42-style top border includes pearl around the edge, fingerboard extension and rosette.  Fully bound in ivoroid with handsome torch inlay on the peghead.  Ebony fingerboard with no markers on the face (side dots, of course).  Nickel Waverly tuners with ebony buttons.  Style 3 marquetry back strip.  

Condition couldn't be better, no discernable play wear, setup is factory perfect and includes original hard case. 

Buyer beware: this one might take you off the market permanently!  This is your reward for a life well lived.  Specs out at about $11K nowadays...
