(USED) Here's a modern era Gallagher Doc Watson that just came in on consignment, and if the name "DOC WATSON" doesn't mean anything to you, you better open up YouTube in another tab... we'll see you in a few days. Doc was one of the greatest American pickers of all time, and during his lifetime he had a long association with the Gallagher brand. This dreadnought has a rumble to rival the big boys!
Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck. Cosmetics include off-white plastic binding on the body, neck and peghead. The Adi top has a lot of winter growth for an aggressive look (which we like!) 3-ring rosette, dot inlays on the ebony fingerboard and diamond volute where the neck meets the peghead.
1 11/16" nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle, long scale with a modern low oval neck profile. The neck has a smooth satin finish, while the rest of the instrument is high gloss. Condition is excellent with some pick swipes on the pick guard and a little bit on the top below the treble wing of the bridge. Includes hard case.
