(USED) Bluegrassers!  Put down your expensive picks and pay attention!!

In our humble opinion, The Pilgrim from Huss & Dalton is one of the best flat-pickin' guitars money can buy.  A loving tribute to the famous Tony Rice/Clarence White dread, this model just feels right at home playing everything from fiddle tunes to good old cowboy chords.  It's LOUD yet dynamic.  It has a clearly defined voice but also plenty of nuance.  I think you know exactly what we mean.

We hold the Pilgrim model in a special place in our hearts, as the inspiration for the guitar came from a conversation with AMW owner Steve and Mark Dalton at Huss & Dalton. It was one of those “could you build this for us?” moments. Mark Dalton’s wry replay was “we’ve just been waiting for someone to ask.” ;-)

Features include thermo-cured (torrefied) Adirondack spruce top with enlarged sound hole, Adirondack spruce braces, Indian rosewood back/sides, mahogany neck with mod-V profile.  1 3/4" nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle, long scale, herringbone purfling, ivoroid body and neck binding and no-logo headstock.  Ebony fingerboard with light figuring and no inlays.  Waverly tuners are standard.

The condition is more or less flawless.  We can see that the cut-through saddle has been slightly lowered from the bottom, and the playability is spot-on.  Includes original (tweed) hard case. It’s a good ‘un! ;-)
