2020 Atkin The Nineteen, Mini Slope D, Adirondack, Mahogany - USED

(USED) Fractional and travel guitars usually have to tow a fine line between their comfortable ergonomics and their ability to create a satisfying sound.  There are success stories like the Collings Baby and the Furch Little Jane, but there you also have your G* Min*s and your B*ckp*ckers, spoiling the fun for small guitar lovers everywhere.  Atkin enters the fray in the best way imaginable with their Nineteen model, which we haven't put down for more than a few minutes since it arrived last week.

If you're familiar with the proportions of iconic Gibby-style jumbos, The Nineteen is about an inch shorter, a little under an inch shallower at the tail block, but has a normal short scale of 25".  It has all the vintage good looks of its big brother, with a traditional tobacco sunburst over Adirondack spruce, mahogany back/sides/neck, simple cream binding with no purfling and Atkin's basic light relic, relegated pretty much to just cracking the finish to relieve surface tension and aid vibration.  

1 3/4" nut, 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle, rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, rosewood bridge.  Tuners are Klusons with white buttons.  Excellent condition with no issues, includes original hard case. 

Extremely satisfying sound and playability.  Honey, I shunk the slope D!
