2019 Lowden F-35c F/F, Alpine Spruce, Madagascar Rosewood, Fanned Frets - USED

(USED) Sometimes we'll go years without having a fanned fret guitar in our shop, but they have picked up a lot of popularity in the last decade, so legendary builders like George Lowden have decided to put their stamp on it.  The concept behind multi-scale guitars is pretty simple, longer scale lengths on the lower strings add more low-end resonance and the shorter scale on the higher strings contributes to the instrument's focus.  While the difference in scale length can vary from different builders, this guitar has a pronounced fan, 27" scale on the lowest string and down to 25 1/4" on the highest.  This makes it work really well for lower tunings, but it plays nice in standard, too.

The F-35 is one of Lowden's larger shapes, it has a 15 7/8" lower bout and measures almost 5" deep at the tail block.  This one has a cutaway for upper fret access.  Alpine spruce top, Madagascar rosewood back and sides, 5-piece neck with mahogany and walnut.  The fingerboard is a nice dark ebony with a maple purfling line and no fret markers.  The body bindings are figured koa.  The peghead features an ebony headplate and backplate, the tuners are Gotoh 510s with ebony buttons.  Smooth satin finish all over. 

Condition is excellent with very minimal fret wear under the unwound strings.  K&K Pure Mini pickup and strap button installed.  Includes original hard case.
