(USED) A super-popular model from one of our favorite builders, the L-02 is Kevin Kopp's faithfully interpreted (but subtly upgraded) version of the pre-war Gibson L-00 guitars.  This shape is enjoying a renaissance these days, it is not only popular with blues and fingerstyle guitarists but more and more with singer-songwriters and rhythm players.  This lightly-built guitar has a percussive snarl but also compelling note separation.  

The top is torrefied Adirondack spruce with Kevin Kopp's world-famous hand-rubbed sunburst.  The lacquer finish is quite thin, and there are a few lacquer checks on the top.  These proved very hard to photograph and can only be seen when turned against bright lights.  Dark-stained mahogany back and sides, all offset in a classic way by ivoroid binding.  The fingerboard and bridge are Kopp's preferred Madagascar rosewood.  Short scale with 1 23/32" nut, 2 1/4" saddle spacing and a comfortable soft "V" neck profile.  Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons.  Original hard case included.  

Other than the minor lacquer checking the condition is excellent with no play wear.  Skip the two-year wait for a new one!
