(USED) Built for the 2019 Artisan Guitar Show, and the first of its kind, this wonderful little 00 is one of the coolest guitars going! Bourgeois has called it the "vintage guitar that wasn't" being a 12-fret version of the classic 14-fret 00 shape created by Martin. The 12-fret configuration is inspired, adding bass response, warmth, and all-important Norman Blake vibes to this extremely fun little box.
Aged Tone (torrefied) Adirondack spruce top, for a broken-in, vintage sound with quick response and a notable volume boost. Beautifully figured "Beeswing" mahogany back and sides. Special Madagascar rosewood body binding, peghead overlay. "1931" style rosette and top purfling. Mother of pearl Bourgeois logo. Short pattern abalone diamonds and squares on the ebony fingerboard. Bone pins, black dots.
Under the hood, we have torrefied Adirondack spruce braces and animal protein glue construction. 1 3/4" nut width with 2 5/16" string spacing at the saddle, short 24.9" scale. The mahogany neck is the super-comfy, satin-finished modified "V", one of our favorite profiles in the whole store. Waverly tuners (of course) and includes original TKL case.
This guitar is just a joy... small enough to put it in the running for the ultimate couch guitar, would travel extremely nicely in a classical gig bag or soft case, and just stellar sounding. Condition is excellent with no issues!
