(USED) In 2022 Waterloo guitars are as rare as hens teeth! Collings and Waterloo alike are backlogged with orders, and guitars are only slowly trickling out to dealers. We feel very fortunate, then, to have a nice used WL-12 to offer!
The WL-12 is, of course, the 12-fret cousin of the flagship WL-14. This X-braced guitar features a Sitka spruce top and maple back and sides, with the maple stained brown to add a 3-dimensional quality to the figuring. Like all Waterloo guitars, it was built to be a throwback to the depression-era catalog guitars produced by Gibson under a variety of brand names. The construction is simple and done in a more production style, versus the painstakingly handmade Collings guitars that come out of the same shop.
Short scale with 1 3/4" nut and 2 3/8" string spacing at the saddle. Mahogany neck with modified low oval neck profile. Rosewood fingerboard, ebony bridge and pins. Stew Mac Golden Age tuners. Original Waterloo interior label. Excellent condition with only minor fret wear under the high B and E strings. Includes original hard case.
