(USED) Pete Huttlinger, may he rest in peace, was one of his generations most gifted fingerstyle guitarists, and his work has had a profound effect on us and many of our customers. He and the folks at Collings had a great relationship, and when Huttlinger had some serious health problems, Collings made a limited number of Pete Huttlinger signature guitars and donated some of the proceeds to Pete's medical expenses.
Pete staged a major recovery, but unfortunately his health concerns resurfaced, ultimately leading to his passing away. Collings made another round of signature OMs, honoring not onlly Pete's loyalty to the OM1 and OM1A cutaway models, but also his love of fly fishing, reflected in the exclusive inlays on the fingerboard of this guitar.
Aside from the custom inlay, this is more or less a standard OM1A Cutaway with Adirondack top, mahogany back and sides, long 25 1/2" scale length, 1 3/4" nut width and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle. It has a 3-ring rosette, tortoise body binding, ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins, a mahogany neck with modified "V" profile and Waverly open-back tuners. One thing that isn't standard is the handmade Collings Traditional case that is included with this instrument, also a work of art and the perfect place for this instrument to reside.
Both guitar and case are in like-new condition, no issues whatsoever.
