(USED) A super-pearly Martin D-45 E Retro, built in 2015.  These guitars were created to offer the look and sound of the coveted, abalone-adorned Martins of the pre-war era, as played by Neil Young, Steven Stills, et al... but with a versatile electronics (Fishman Aura system) with old-school forward-shifted bracing and the benefit of modern engineering (and a truss rod!)

Premium Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides.  Full abalone trim on top, sides and back, including fingerboard extension and heel.  Abalone and pearl snowflake fingerboard inlays on an ebony fingerboard.  Ivoroid body, neck and peghead binding.  Vertical abalone C.F. Martin logo on rosewood peghead veneer.  Gold open-back tuners w/ Martin logo.  Mahogany neck with modified low oval profile, 1 3/4" nut, 2 1/4" string spacing at the saddle.  Marquetry back strip.  Pickup is the Fishman Aura VT Enhanced, with circuitry meant to emulate a natural, mic'd live sound.  

Condition is excellent with no discernible fret wear and only very minor cosmetic imperfections.  This guitar had a bit of loose binding (pro-repaired) on the bass side of the waist.  The repair is nearly invisible, but there is minor finish disruption that can be seen/felt on very close inspection (see photos).  There is also a 1/8" diameter finish impression on the top in the same area, which proved difficult to photograph... a soft, round ding that is in the finish only.  The action is nice and easy, but there is ample saddle height to dial it in even more specifically.    

This D-45E Retro is priced with a grey (Gruhn Guitars, Nashville) Calton case w/ blue interior.  Contact us if you would like a slightly lower price quote with a standard molded Martin hard case or TKL/similar dreadnought case.
