(USED) You've heard us talking about this being the golden age of L-00 guitars, with quality versions being made by just about every luthier and guitar manufacturer. This is a pretty recent development, and 25 years ago you'd be lucky to find one at all. Gibson is the brand that originally created the shape, and these days they still release a number of variants, like this 2015 Bluesmaster, built by the Custom Shop in collaboration with blues legend Keb Mo.
This 12-fret version was only built for a few years, but it's a fine blues guitar by any standards and also isn't afraid to do some folk or singer/songwriter when the mood strikes. The top is Adirondack spruce, the back, sides and neck are Honduran mahogany. It is a little more gussied up than some, with a Cremona sunburst, full body/neck/peghead ivoroid binding and herringbone top trim. The fingerboard and bridge are rosewood.
The guitar has a wide 1 13/16" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, plus a short 25" scale length. Neck has a soft V profile, thickness is .873" at the first fret and .998" at the 9th. Grover open-gear tuners. There is an LR Baggs Element pickup installed from the factory, with tone and volume controls in the sound hole.
Condition is excellent with a few swirl marks in the top and no structural issues. The frets are nearly perfect. Includes Mono gig bag.
