2013 Stiver Model F, Engelmann Spruce, Maple - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) We've been ride or die for Lou Stiver and his wonderful mandolins, ever since our store opened 25 years ago.  Lou is a local treasure, now retired, who made some of the best traditional mandolins around, and we've been enjoying the gutsy tone of his instruments in bluegrass bands and mandolin orchestras for as long as we can remember.  Since Mr. Stiver is no longer producing new instruments, people are finding it hard to part with examples of his work... but sometimes we (and you) get lucky and one finds its way back to us.

This clean 2013 model has an Engelmann spruce top, flamed maple back/sides/neck.  It has a reddish sunburst somewhere between a cherry and boot burst.  The radius'd ebony fingerboard has just a bit of figuring at the scoop.  1 1/8" mother of pearl nut.  Gold hardware including gold tuners with ivoroid buttons and brushed gold James tail piece.  Vivid fern inlay and Stiver logo adorn the peghead.

Excellent condition with no issues, very mild fret wear under the A course.  Includes hard case.

A prime example from one of the best to ever do it!
