2013 M.J. Franks L-00, Adirondack Spruce, Mahogany - USED

ON CONSIGNMENT, NO TRADE OFFERS PLEASE!

(USED) A bit of a special piece here, it's the first L-00 ever built by Mike "MJ" Franks!  This guitar is very faithful to the Gibson originals, with an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back/sides/neck and rosewood fingerboard/bridge.  It has a traditional dark sunburst, cream body binding, dot inlays on the fingerboard, fire stripe pick guard and gold engraved 3-on-a-plate tuners with ivoroid binding.

The nut width is 1 3/4", string spacing at the saddle is 2 3/16" and the scale length is 25".  The neck is a mod V shape that fills up the hand pretty well, it measures .872" at the first fret and 1.015" at the ninth.

Condition is very good overall, fret wear is minimal.  There is a healthy ding on the top bass side of the lower bout.  The guitar arrived to us with a separated center seam, so we hyper-humidified to close it, cleated and wicked in hot hide glue.  The dark stain used on the back penetrated through to the inside of the guitar and can be seen in spots through the sound hole.  K&K pickup installed.

A very fine traditional L-00 that will serve a working musician quite well!  Includes molded hard case.
