(USED) We are pleased to present this impressive D2H BRAZILIAN as part of a small collection of well cared for Collings guitars that just arrived on consignment. If you're new to Collings, know that, to a guitar, they are loud, clear, and came from the mind of the late great Bill Collings... one of the best to ever do it. Collings ushered in an era of care and consistency in guitar building that became a standard for every other brand in the industry to aspire to.
This Brazilian dreadnought might be the culmination of your guitar journey. Discontinued right around the time this guitar was completed, Collings' Brazilian rosewood guitars were always in a league of their own. This one comes to us in fabulous condition, with no issues of any kind (a few pick swipes on the guard or you'd swear it was a new guitar!) It sits comfortably at the original Collings factory setup. The instrument has a disarmingly pretty sound, muscular but also airy. Light on its feet with great dynamics.
Beautiful Adirondack spruce top, post-grading Brazilian rosewood back and sides showing some figuring. Classic 2-style appointments include ivoroid body binding, 3-ring rosette, herringbone top trim, diamond volute and zipper back strip. It has a 1 11/16" nut, 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, and is the normal 25 1/2" long scale length. Ebony fingerboard, bridge and pins. Waverly tuners and original hard case.
An heirloom-grade instrument that is simply excellent (but doesn't make a big deal about it!) Call to discuss options for case upgrades or expedited shipping.
